Tata Teleservices Grants 3G Network Deployment Contract to NSN

Indian telecom operator Tata Teleservices has entered into a 3G network deployment contract with NSN (Nokia Siemens Networks) on August 23, 2010, according to a press release by NSN. As per the agreement, NSN is expected to provide its LTE (Long Term Evolution)-ready Flexi Multiradio base stations for 3G infrastructure establishment, and the company will offer network implementation and managed services as well. It is reported that NSN has kicked off production of 3G mobile equipment at its plant located in Chennai, India on April 10, 2010, and according to the press release, NSN is projected to deliver 3G equipment from the Chennai manufacturing facility as soon as possible.
